**Not a link, but a note. Was reading twitter and @FAUOwlAccess posted that all-conference guard Raymond Taylor would be ready to play for FAU against Troy on Thursday. He missed the last two games with a concussion. FAU is deep in the backcourt, but has been mediocre in the frontcourt and has struggled to a 6-12 record.
Troy hosts FAU on Thursday and UL-Monroe on Saturday.
**From ESPN New York, HERE is a good story on former Troy kicker Lawrence Tynes and his toughness. It was written before the Giants hammered Green Bay over the weekend. Four years ago, he hit the game-winning kick in overtime to send the Giants to the Super Bowl, a few minutes after missing a potential game-winning kick in regulation.
I got to write about Tynes before the Super Bowl that year, and wrote about former Trojan Steve McLendon of the Pittsburgh Steelers before last year's Super Bowl. The Giants have three former Trojans - Tynes, Osi Umenyiora and Jerrel Jernigan - and play at San Francisco on Sunday night for a chance to go back to the Super Bowl.
