Tough break for Trojans, which got down by 20 at South Alabama, came back and took a lead, but lost on a last-second shot by South Alabama's Augustine Rubit. The final was 68-66.
You can read a recap HERE.
Troy is now 2-7 in conference play, a half-game in last place in the East. Fouls were a key early, as Troy, at one point, was down 25-1 in free throw attempts and had three players with four fouls early in the second half, and key player Justin Wright fouled out with 5 minutes to go.
Makes you wonder, though, this could be a back-breaking loss and you wonder how Troy regroups and responds in home games this week Thursday (UL-Lafayette) and Saturday (FIU). ULL is tough and FIU, you never know what Golden Panther team you're going to get, but those teams have had Troy's number over the past couple of years.
