Belmont is a very good team, but the hope for Troy is that the Bruins will be tired after playing a tough rivalry game at Middle Tennessee (a loss) just two nights ago.
But Belmont is very good, having lost at Duke by only one point. Can you imagine any Sun Belt team going to Duke and playing the Blue Devils that close?
Belmont waxed Troy last year, but this is a different Troy team. Coach Don Maestri said most of the Bruins are back from last year. He said he felt like his team was nervous before playing at Mississippi State.
Watching them jack up some very quick shots, I'd believe it. If Troy does that against Belmont, it'll be a long night.
