Wild game at the New Orleans Bowl, as UL-Lafayette knocks off San Diego State 32-30 on a last-second field goal from 50 yards out by Brett Baer.
It would have been a 55-yarder, but SDSU was flagged 5 yards for attempting to draw ULL offsides. Sort of like when Troy was playing ULL at home in 2010, and lining up for a field goal on fourth and less than 5, and ULL was called for "disconcerting signals" or simulating the snap count.
Blaine Gautier threw for 474 yards, breaking Corey Robinson's record of 383 yards in the 2010 New Orleans Bowl win over Ohio.
FIU represents the Sun Belt Tuesday night in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl against Marshall.
