I told you a while back about Hinds Community College QB Deon Anthony committing to Troy. Well, Pittsburgh showed interest in him, then the Panthers' head coach left.
From Hinds, Anthony has now officially signed with Troy. He'll be on campus in the spring.
Where Anthony is different than starter Corey Robinson and backups Luke Barnes and Dallas Tidwell is that he's a run threat and he's also established with two years of JUCO quarterbacking experience. At the very least, he's a change of pace guy and can run the Wildcat on 1st and 10 (as opposed to a RB or WR) with the defense having to respect the pass.
