2:30 p.m. WED UPDATE - Official release from Troy.
His name is Adam Prendergast. He accepted the job officially earlier today.
Prendergast, 31, has been at UL-Monroe for the past four years. Prior to that, he was at Campbell in the A-Sun and Spring Hill College. Adam is from Alabama and went to school at Auburn. His wife is from Alabama and the two have an 18-month-old son with a little girl due sometime in January, so it's good for the two of them to get back closer to family.

Adam replaces Ricky Hazel, who served Troy well from 2004-2011 and is now at Stetson.
