Troy's best bet at making a major league roster sooner than later is Clint Robinson, a 27-year-old first baseman/DH in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Robinson hit .326 with 23 home runs and 100 RBIs last year for AAA Omaha, and was an AAA all-star, but the Royals have Eric Hosmer locked in at 1B and Billy Butler at DH. Robinson was optioned to Omaha earlier this week.
He may need an injury or a trade to get a crack in the majors.
