This is an update to a story I brought you back in May 2011.
It's been a little over a year since now-former WDRB sports anchor John Lewis was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Louisville, but the charge was dismissed by a Jefferson County District Court judge recently, according to the station.
The dismissal of the charge on June 27 comes as a relief to Lewis, who told the station last week that he's ready to move on.
"I'm glad the DUI charge has been dismissed and will be expunged from my record very soon. I'm looking forward to moving on personally and professionally," Lewis said.
Lewis had worked for WDRB's sports department as a reporter and anchor for 10 years, but resigned following his arrest.
