The West Kentucky Star reports this afternoon that a fiber optic cable break near Hopkinsville is causing problems for Comcast cable and internet customers in a large swath of Western Kentucky.
A Comcast technician says customers from Paducah to Madisonville are experiencing problems caused by the break. In the immediate Tri-State area, Comcast serves much of Muhlenberg County, Ky., but it isn't known at this time if customers there are experiencing difficulties.
It's not immediately known how soon the problem will be resolved.
