A new version of Eyewitness News' mobile app, Tristate On The Go, has been made available for both the iOS and Android operating systems.
According to the app's listing in the iTunes Store, the revamped app has been optimized for improved performance, making the app load more quickly. Ads are less intrusive, and the landscape layout is now fully supported in most views. It also supports iOS 6.
As of 2 p.m., the Android version had not yet become available (although the earlier version remains), but it's expected that the updates for that edition will be similar.
