WTHI-TV's Mark Allen |
The Indiana Broadcasters Association is set to meet for its annual Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award banquet in Indianapolis this evening, and two men with Terre Haute ties - one of them being longtime WTHI-TV anchor Mark Allen - will be honored.
Allen, who has been in broadcasting for nearly half a century, will be inducted into the IBA's Hall of Fame.
Also being honored tonight is LIN Television vice-president Scott Blumenthal, who will receive the Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
A former VP and GM at Indianapolis CBS affiliate WISH-TV, Blumenthal began his broadcasting career at WTWO in 1970, and has been with LIN since 1983. He's been executive VP of LIN's television operation for the past seven years.
Congratulations, gentlemen!
