Over the past couple of weeks, I've noticed - and some readers have as well - that WUSI-TV out of Olney mysteriously changed from channels 16.1 through 16.4 over the air to 8.1 through 8.4, mirroring WSIU-TV, its sister station in Carbondale.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've noticed - and some readers have as well - that WUSI-TV out of Olney mysteriously changed from channels 16.1 through 16.4 over the air to 8.1 through 8.4, mirroring WSIU-TV, its sister station in Carbondale.
It created some confusion - and not just for those of us who watch! Greg Petrowich, executive director of WSIU Public Broadcasting, said it shouldn't have happened at all, and they're not even sure what caused it.
"We have no plan or intent" to make both stations channel 8, he told me via email Friday.
Petrowich says they've reset things at the transmitter site, and things should be back to normal.
