WSIU Public Television also planning to air basketball games this winter
WSIU Public Television will provide live coverage of the SIU vs. Youngstown State football game on Saturday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.
The game will air live from Youngstown, Ohio on WSIU's primary HD channels, WSIU-TV 8.1 and WUSI-TV 16.1, with a repeat broadcast at 7 p.m. on WSIU's second digital television channel, WORLD, WSIU-TV 8.2 and WUSI-TV 16.2.
WSIU is also planning to broadcast multiple SIU basketball games during the 2012-13 season. Details will be released as they are finalized. Visit WSIU's Live Saluki Sports page at www.wsiu.org/salukis for the schedule and updates as details become available.
Live Saluki Sports on WSIU Public Television is sponsored regionally by Arnold's Market in Carbondale, Dr. Michael B. Clay DMD of SI Dentistry in Murphysboro, Cook Portable Warehouses, Mercedes Benz of Marion, the SIU Alumni Association, the SIU Credit Union, the SIU Foundation, and Wright Do-It Centers in Murphysboro and Sparta.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Several readers have brought to my attention that WUSI is currently mapping to channels 8.1 through 8.4 as does WSIU; I've also noticed this here at JDTVB HQ. I'm working to find out if this is permanent as well as an explanation - particularly when the website and press releases still openly refer to Channel 16.
