Carmi radio stations WROY-1460 AM and WRUL-97.3 FM will be making some news changes starting next month.
The changes, which are set to take effect on Nov. 5, are as follows:
- WROY's existing local newscasts will move to 6, 7 and 10 a.m., respectively, and the station will add a brief 8 a.m. newscast.
- WRUL's local newscasts will air at 6, 7 and 8 a.m.; noon and 1 p.m.; and 4 and 5 p.m.
Both stations already air AP network news at the top of the hour, and by putting everything together, the station believes listeners will get more of what they want, when they want it.
"This will give our news listeners a more comprehensive look at news, and our music listeners more music with less interruption," the station said on its Facebook page.
