It looks like Major League Baseball is going to hang around with Fox and Turner for another few years.
AdWeek has the full story, but it looks like the new contract will cost Fox around half a billion dollars a year through 2021, while Turner will pay about $350 million a year.
NBC had also been interested in making a play for our national pastime, but Comcast was unwilling to invest that kind of money. CBS, which had also considered it, wasn't able to put together a deal similar to its NCAA Tournament partnership with Turner to get baseball back for the first time in nearly 20 years.
