Afternoons are now in HD on Fox44 |
If you're a fan of Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos or Maury Povich, you may have noticed something different about them if you watch Fox44 WEVV.
They're now all in HD.
The station began broadcasting each of the three shows - Wilkos at 3 p.m., Springer at 4 and Maury at 5 - in high definition last week when their respective new seasons kicked off.
Fox44 (which can be seen over the air on channels 44.2 and 47.1 as well as most cable outlets and satellite) and its CBS-affiliated sister, CBS44, are the only commercial stations in the Evansville market to broadcast syndicated programming in high definition. None of the other local network affiliates do so, despite the fact that most such shows (Wheel of Fortune, Inside Edition, etc.) are offered in HD.
