Congratulations to the students in the Radio-Television Department at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, who brought home several Silver Dome student awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association late last month.
The students won a total of six awards, with their student-produced newscast, River Region Evening Edition (which airs on WSIU-TV and WUSI-TV) winning the award for Best Television Newscast.
