Antenna manufacturer hits cable company ... hard

As most of you know, I don't have cable or satellite service in my home.  Going from a $150+/month bill to nothing a month was a personal decision that my wife and I made for our family nearly five years ago.  Since that time, we have purchased a Roku box and we do subscribe to Netflix's streaming service, but at eight dollars and change, that is still a helluva lot cheaper than cable or satellite.

And we rely on our antenna-provided TV for local news, weather and sports, as well as other programming we enjoy watching.

Others have joined the movement as well.  By the thousands, people are switching from expensive pay-TV services to the old standby - the antenna - and they like it!

Sensing that definite resurgence, one antenna manufacturer has gone on the offensive. St. Louis-based Antennas Direct posted what you see at left, calling out Charter Communications (also based in St. Louis) on Facebook this morning.

It speaks to those who've had to put up with poor service, higher and higher rates and frustrations at the hands of their cable company.

Is this fair, or going too far?  Right on the money?  Way off base?  Tell me what you think.
