Jacqui Jeras |
Jacqui Jeras is about to start a new job.
Jeras, who worked at WEHT from 1994 to 1996 as the station's weekend weather anchor and weekday reporter, will start at Washington, D.C. ABC affiliate WJLA-TV in early September.
The Washington Post reports that she will be WJLA's morning and midday meteorologist.
Jeras spent 13 years at CNN, where she covered many major weather disasters, including Hurricane Katrina, the February 2010 Nor'easters and the Joplin, Mo. EF5 tornado last year.
“I’m really looking forward to becoming a part of the D.C. community,” Jeras said Friday. “And I can’t wait to see snow again!”
