Marciano to co-host Entertainment Tonight

Rob Marciano
CNN news/weather anchor set to join O'Dell beginning in Jan.

Rob Marciano has been named co-host of Entertainment Tonight, TV's top-rated syndicated newsmagazine. He will co-host with Nancy O’Dell beginning in January.

The hiring of Marciano will give ET two hosts for the first time since Mark Steines left the show in July.

Marciano comes to ET from CNN News Group where he has been a news and weather anchor since 2003. Marciano also worked across the CNN Network as a field correspondent and fill-in anchor.

Marciano’s reports for CNN from the field during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico earned a Peabody Award. Prior to his work at CNN, Marciano was chief meteorologist for KATU Portland, Ore., and KXL-AM there. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as morning and then chief meteorologist for KPLC in Lake Charles, La.

Marciano began his career as a weather anchor for WVIT in Hartford, Conn. Before embarking on a career in television he spent three years in New York City as an equity sales trader.

Marciano holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Cornell University and has the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.
