This year's 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays radiothon is set for Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.
Sponsored by the Townsquare Media radio stations in Evansville (99.5 WKDQ, News Talk 1280, 103GBF, 105.3 WJLT and 106.1 KISS-FM), Henderson Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and 911 Gives Hope, the event will be held at the Burkhardt Road Walmart in Evansville.
During the radiothon, toys, clothing, gift certificates and more will be collected for distribution to children's wards at Deaconess, St. Mary's and Methodist hospitals as well as the Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center and Ronald McDonald House.
In its first five years, 911 Gives Hope, which is a not-for-profit fundraising group of Tri-State fire and police officers, has raised $390,000 for local charities involving children and people with disabilities. Henderson Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Townsquare Media are two of the group's longest-standing partners.
