Ferdinand, Ind. country station WQKZ-98.5 FM is being sold by GEM Communications, LLP, to Jasper On The Air, Inc., which owns WITZ-990 AM/104.7 FM in Jasper, Ind.
Sale price for the station is $45,000.
Jasper On The Air has operated WQKZ, which shares its studio facilities with WITZ-AM/FM, since it signed on the air in 1997. The late Earl Metzger, who died in August 2011, owned WQKZ and held a minority ownership interest in Jasper On The Air, which he served as general manager until his death.
GEM Communications, which is in the process of being transferred from Metzger's estate to a family trust, will continue to have a minority interest in Jasper On The Air, as will the Trust's trustee, Nick Metzger, All Access reports.
