Loot and Project With Loot

Saturday, Debbie, Tami and I went to the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Expo in Riverside, CA. I went thinking that I would just "look around" and hang out with my friends. Well, I did that, plus bought a bunch of stuff (see below). Well, the one thing that I wanted to purchase, the Stamp-A-Majig, was nowhere to be found. Luckilly, my friend Kim found me one at her grocery store.
Here's what I made using most of my new stuff. It's a tag inspired by Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas. This is for a swap Mary is hosting on the Stamp Shack. Items used: Tim Holtz Crackle Paint, Grungeboard, Distress Ink, Perfect Pearls, Mini Misters, Tag, Brillance Ink, TAC Native Land and Pine Tree inks, Judikins damask Stamp, Stampin Up! swirl stamps, Stamps by Judith black ink, a brayer, clear embossing powder, rat tail (ribbon), Tonic Scissors. I have an edge distresser on order so I used a steak knife. Here is a close up:

I didn't have all the supplies to recreate any of Tim's tags so I used several techniques from different tags to make mine. I made 8 of these and they each look very different. I stretched my dollar by trimming the Grungeboard pieces so 3 swirls made 8 tags.
