Troy head coach Larry Blakeney made a staff change, relieving Maurea "Mo" Crain of his duties defensive tackles coach this week, Blakeney said.
"It was nothing to do with anything as far as integrity, honesty or being a good person, because Mo is all of those," Blakeney said. "I felt like I had to make a change for the betterment of the staff."
Crain had been Troy's defensive tackles coach since prior to the 2006 New Orleans Bowl. He had several players earn all-Sun Belt honors, including current Trojan Tony Davis, Chris Bradwell, Dion Gales, current Pittsburgh Steeler Steve McLendon and Kevin Dixon.
"I've got nobody in mind and don't know exactly what I'm going to do, but I made a change. We'll sort through it."
