Hyundai, Lexus add more models with HD Radio

New Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, Lexus IS 250 F SPORT sedan join HD Radio club
Santa Fe SUV, IS sport sedan latest to be equipped with technology

Hyundai and Lexus have rolled out their latest new vehicles for the 2013 model year, and among the upgrades made to models from both companies is HD Radio technology.

Hyundai's all-new Santa Fe Sport, a 5-passenger SUV, is now available at Hyundai dealers and includes HD Radio as standard equipment.  HD Radio will also be offered as standard on the longer, 6- or 7-passenger Santa Fe, which will debut in early 2013.  In addition to HD Radio, both Santa Fe models are completely new from bumper to bumper, and feature outstanding fuel economy.  The Santa Fe delivers up to 26 MPG highway, while the four-cylinder Sport delivers up to 31 MPG highway.

From Lexus for 2013 comes a mildly revised IS series in two basic models, the IS 250 and IS 350.  While there are few changes to the cars overall for the new year, IS sedans equipped with the available navigation system will now include HD Radio.

The Santa Fe SUVs and IS sedans join other Hyundai and Lexus models offering HD Radio.  That list includes:
  • HYUNDAI:  Equus, Genesis Sedan and Coupe, Sonata, Azera and Veracruz
  • LEXUS:  ES, GS, LS, LX and RX
28 automotive brands now offer HD Radio, including models from Acura, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI USA, Porsche, Ram, Rolls-Royce, Scion, SRT (Chrysler), Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
