For the second time this season, Troy pitcher Joe Hernandez has earned Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honors. This comes off his complete game 4-hitter in the Trojans' 8-1 win over Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday.
...With Troy’s backs against the wall and a thin bullpen stretched after an 11-inning series opener, Hernandez tossed a complete-game four hitter against Louisiana-Lafayette. The junior right-hander ended the game with 8.2 scoreless innings against the Cajuns as he used 110 pitches to work his first career complete game.
Hernandez was able to get the Cajuns to hit into four double plays as the Trojans won the game 8-1...
***The Sun Belt also announced some football game times. Troy's Thursday, Oct. 11 home game against Western Kentucky will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will be on ESPNU. A full list of the Sun Belt ESPN network games can be found HERE.
