Super Bowl Update

The Evansville IceMen will return to the radio on Monday night as IceMen Live presented by Coors Light returns to the airwaves on WEOA-1400 AM and in cyberspace at 1400amweoa.com.

The show, which will air from 7 to 9 p.m., will once again air from Show-Me's East on Morgan Center Drive in Evansville. As always, the public is invited to join the Voice of the IceMen, Terry "Fic" Ficorelli, and his guests for a great program that includes giveaways and prizes.

Fic's guests Monday night will include IceMen team favorites, 2011-12 CHL league scoring kingpin and team MVP Todd Robinson and his linemate, the team’s second top scorer last season, left wing Josh Beaulieu. Both Robinson and Beaulieu will discuss the IceMen new season and the excitement surrounding their team’s debut in the NHL-affiliated ECHL.

The IceMen are preparing for what should be an exciting season of hockey.  This season marks the club's debut in the ECHL and as an affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and the Columbus Blue Jackets, as well as the Springfield Falcons and Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.

The Evansville IceMen announced on Wednesday that their radio network is growing once again.

Our local hockey team, which is preparing for its debut season in the ECHL and as an affiliate of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues, will now be heard on WLME-102.7 FM (102.7 The Game, Lewisport/Owensboro, Ky.) and WVLN-740 AM (Olney, Ill.), in addition to returning flagship station WEOA-1400 AM (Evansville), WMSK-1550 AM (Morganfield, Ky.) and WITZ-990 AM/104.7 FM (Jasper/Huntingburg, Ind.).

WEOA is also in the process of adding a new FM translator - 98.5 FM - which will also carry the games and all of the station's other programming.  When the new WEOA-98.5 FM goes on the air, the IceMen will be heard on FM in Evansville for the first time.

All of the network stations will carry all of the team's games except WITZ-AM and FM, which will carry a select number of contests that have yet to be determined.

In addition to the game broadcasts, the IceMen will return their other popular radio programs starting Sept. 24.  IceMen Live returns to its regular time of 7 to 9 p.m. each Monday night starting that night, and the daily IceMen Hockey Update will begin airing on 16 different stations - including some new affiliates - across the Tri-State (see list below).

All IceMen broadcasts will be anchored by Terry "Fic" Ficorelli, the Voice of the IceMen, who is beginning his 39th year calling professional hockey action. 

The IceMen will make their preseason debut on the ice early next month as they rekindle their rivalry with the Fort Wayne Komets in a weekend pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.  Broadcasts for those games will begin at 6 p.m. for the Saturday night contest and 3:30 p.m. for the Sunday game.

The fourth and final installment of this year's summer radio series for the Evansville IceMen is set for next week.

IceMen Live Presented by Coors Light Summer Special IV will air live from 6 to 7 p.m. CT Monday evening on WEOA-1400 AM The Pump from Show-Me's East in Evansville.  The program will also be streamed live at 1400amweoa.com.

Monday night's show will feature special guests Philippe Plante, who recently re-signed with the IceMen, and Randall Parmley, sports anchor at WEHT Local and Local 7 WTVW.

Terry Ficorelli, the Voice of the IceMen, will host the program.

Everyone is invited to attend the show and become part of the live studio audience experience. As is always the case, there will be lots of prizes and surprises.

With the end of summer now in sight, the IceMen have also announced that the regular season IceMen Live broadcasts will return on Sept. 24.  Those programs, which will run from 7 to 9 p.m. from Show-Me's East, will also air on WEOA.
