Free app lets mobile users see 14 days of TV program schedules
Broadcast Interactive Media (BIM) has announced the release of its new free, easy-to-use TitanTV for Android app.
Designed for use in the United States, TitanTV for Android allows users to view the schedules for 14 days of programming on broadcast, cable, and satellite lineups.
Schedules are displayed in the channel lineups in a simple grid format. For optimum readability, the grid is also scalable by device type. A one hour grid is displayed in portrait mode and three hours in landscape on smaller Android devices. On tablets, the grid spans three hours in portrait mode and six in landscape.
A Details page containing a program’s plot summary, cast, ratings and more may be viewed by pressing on the program in the grid.
A powerful and flexible search function is also included.
Users who have created accounts on the free TitanTV.com desktop site may also access many of its advanced features on the new TitanTV for Android app. These include the selected default lineup, grid start time, color scheme and even their customized lineups. A custom lineup might contain only sports channels, children’s channels, premium movie channels, etc.
“Television viewers have relied on TitanTV for programming information since 2000, and the TitanTV for Android app makes it even easier to get that information in a mobile format,” said Mick Rinehart, senior vice president of data services and product development at BIM. “The app is an especially handy choice for tablet or smartphone users who have ‘cut the cord’ and want an aggregated source for TV listings on a separate screen.”
TitanTV for Android is free and available now in the Google Play Store.
